WordQ is a word prediction program designed for use by individuals with dyslexia and other learning disabilities. This software works in conjunction with standard Windows and Macintosh word processors and other applications, using state-of-the-art word prediction to provide suggested word options. Text-to-speech capability provides cues. The software continuously provides word lists as the user types and combines visual and speech feedback to aid the user in appropriate word selection and in self-detecting errors. Operating on the assumption that the user's oral skills are better than written language skills, the software's speech feedback aids the user in detecting errors in grammar, spelling, and punctuation that might otherwise go unnoticed. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible and Apple Macintosh computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: 1 Ghz or higher processor and 512 megabytes RAM (Windows PC), and Windows XP, Vista 32/64-bit, Win 7 32/64-bit or Mac OS X (10.4 - 10.5).
