VideoTIM is a tactile reader and graphics display designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This device combines a small handheld videocamera with a tactile display unit called TIM (tactile interactive monitor). The user puts one hand on the display unit and uses the other hand to move the camera unit, which resembles a computer mouse, over the document or picture to be examined.
