Special Issues Related to Employment and Life is a personal skills and independent living skills tutorial program designed for use by individuals with cognitive, learning, or vision disabilities. This series of eight duplicatable books, eight duplicatable CD-ROMs, and eight online lessons is a unit of the Life Skills Curriculum that can be used by high school students and adults. This series is designed for students to use independently or in groups and is designed to help equip students with the knowledge and skills to set goals for themselves and make better choices in their personal life and in the workplace. Available as a set, titles include the following: Arrest; Death; Discrimination; Involved in an Accident; Lost Driver's License; My Apartment's Been Robbed; Reading a Map; and You and the Law. Teacher’s guides, lesson plans, record keeping logs, pre/post-assessments, alignments to CASAS and Job Corp Career Success Standards, certificates of achievement, and other support materials are provided at no extra cost. The duplicatable books are available in digital format (Word or PDF) after purchase at no additional cost. This allows the print to be enlarged and the materials to be put into alternate formats.
