Step One: Print the free printables and laminate them (or use dry erase pouches and slide the free printables into the pouches).
Step Two: The teacher and student discuss what the shape is, the beginning sound of the shape and how many sides the shape has.
Step Three: Then, the child looks around the room and points out objects that are the shape.
Step Four: Once the play dough is in the shape, the teacher asks the child to use the play dough tools to ‘decorate’ or create patterns on the shape.
Step Five: The teacher encourages the child to use other colors of play dough to create faces and accessories for the snowmen.
