HELP..........

I'm a USAF vet w/ an honorable discharge.  I have been a photographer for over 20+ yrs with the Military and as a civilian contractor w/ the US Army.  I can't seem to find any work as a government contractor in my field.  I would like some help finding out what companies hold the photography contracts for the bases here in the San Diego area.

thanks

Talk to the Contracting Office on each base that you intend to work on.  Also you can register on Vetbiz.gov and fedbizopps.gov  It is very time consuming to research all pertinent requirements but you can work your way to being eligible to compete for offers of contracts.  While on both sites you can research recent bid awards and that may also help in finding current awardees.  Maintain contact with the contracting office and develop a rapport with local suppliers for your types of materials and necessary items as they may have information relating to what organizations are currently on a contract.  Seek out a mentor for government contracting, a current and established firm that is presently competitive in their bids, they can help greatly with advice and may help establish your work history which is necessary for contract awards.
